A seminar on Deep fake: Technology and Consequences was held on the 25th of September. Mr. Irtiza Chowdhury, Lecturer, CSE, SSE was the keynote speaker and Dr. Md. Rezaul Huque Khan, Professor and Dean, SSE of CIU, presided over the seminar. The seminar consisted of a thorough breakdown of how deep fakes are constructed and its underlying elements of deep learning, pattern recognition and image processing. The prevalence, potential dangers and benefits of such a technology were also part of the discussion.
